Buffalo Springs Farm is the home of artists
Teri Traner and Dan Backenstose

Our historic 18th Century property is located approximately 2 miles west of Schaefferstown, in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country. Land records show the farm was settled in 1785 and by 1798 buffaloes were raised on the property, hence the name for the cluster of homes in the area. The buildings on our 28 acre farmette include a springhouse with the Buffalo Spring running through the lower level, the farmhouse with adjoining summer kitchen, the barn which serves as Dan’s workshop, and a former chickenhouse which houses Teri's studio.

We invite you to browse our work as well as the antiques and collectibles we have for sale. We welcome vistors to the farm by appointment.
