Collecting is a Backenstose family tradition, an obsession Dan inherited as a young man. Over the years, Dan’s interest in early American antiques has resulted in the acquisition not only of furniture, but also of tinware, wrought-iron hardware, pottery, woodenware, and textiles. Of particular interest to him are collectibles from periods in our country’s history when many items were handcrafted by local craftspeople and thus stand as testaments to the unique perspective of each maker. We are happy to respond to inquiries regarding any of the antiques we have for sale. We also welcome visitors to the farm by appointment. We encourage you to see for yourself the quality of the furniture and collectibles we have available.
